Thank you Twitter peeps for supporting Magdalen Laundry survivors

These daffodils are my way of saying ‘thank-you’ to Twitter peeps. I took the photo today from the communal garden where I reside in Donnybrook. It was lovingly planted by a gardner who lives for planting / nurturing flowers every single day of his life. It is just an acknowledgement for all the support that you’ve given throughout the very emotionally heightened build-up to the Magdalen Laundry survivors long awaited apology from the Irish government. I was overwhelmed by the outpouring of genuine good-will by so many Twitter peeps. I know that some of my industrial *school* survivor counterparts and relatives were somewhat admonished by Twitter overseers in their quest to get the message across.

The survivors have been put through hell for over a decade in their quest to have their voices heard. Thank goodness, though, they can now [hopefully] start to relax and breathe a big sigh of relief after…
