A biography/documentary on Dylan Thomas. I shall look forward to viewing the series.
I watched two of the videos. It gives one great insight into the poet. I wish though, that the remarks about his ‘small’ ‘square’ stature didn’t have to be something that needed pointing out. Sure, isn’t the human race made up of all shapes and sizes.
It said in the last pointer on personal info taken from skoool.ie notes by me here that…
He drank himself to death in a drinking session in New York City in 1953.
That argument that he drank 18 straight half noggins of whiskey in a pub in America seems to be refuted in the documentary. Morphine by a doctor was supposed to have been given to him on prescription by a ‘doctor’. Will watch it again to get more specifics.
