Cherish the children – indeed?

It baffles me so much as to why the church has always gone all out on a limb to protect the unborn, yet, by the same token allowed 170, 000 children in its care in industrial *schools* in the past to be treated as mere nonentities. Never to be seen; never to be heard. They were cast away; never to know who they were, or not even know their own names because they weren’t ever called by anything personal. They were mostly known by their allocated numbers, that was, unless, they weren’t la la’s + pets,  every single day of their lives.

The Proclamation in part:
